Cookie policy

What this website stores on your device, and why.

Cookies on this website

This policy explains what this website stores on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit. It covers cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage.

This website does not use cookies. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and we don’t load scripts from other companies that could set cookies of their own.

What we store

The website stores one small setting, and only if you ask it to. The illustration at the top of the homepage includes gently moving water, with a button to pause it. If you press Pause, your browser remembers that choice, so the water stays still on your next visit and its video is not downloaded again.

Name
findaway:hero-water
Type
Local storage in your browser, not a cookie
What it remembers
That you paused the moving water. It holds the word “paused” and nothing else.
When it is saved
Only when you press Pause
When it is removed
When you press Play, or clear this website’s data in your browser
Who can see it
No one else. It stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.

If your device is set to reduce motion, the water does not move and nothing is stored.

Your choices

You don’t need to accept anything to use this website. To remove the setting, press Play on the homepage illustration, or clear this website’s data in your browser’s settings.

If your browser blocks cookies and site data, the website still works. The water simply won’t remember being paused.

Other websites

Our enquiry form is delivered by Basin, a form service. When you send the form, your browser sends your message straight to Basin, without any cookies. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, sending the form takes you to Basin’s own confirmation page, where Basin’s policies apply.

Links to our social media pages and to other organisations take you to their websites, which have their own cookie policies.

Changes and questions

If we change what this website stores, for example to count visits, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your agreement. This policy was last updated on 2 November 2026.

Our privacy policy explains how we use the personal information you share with us, such as in an enquiry. If you have a question about either policy, please contact:
